Confidently strutting down the catwalk in designer frocks at just 18, Silvia Diaz appeared to have a picture-perfect lwhethere.

Young, slender and beautwhetherul, the in-demand model routinely walked in London Fashion Week and even graced the pages of Vogue magazine.

Behind the smiling snaps, however, Silvia revealed how she was secretly in the grip of an eating disorder that consumed her lwhethere for nearly three years.

“I was an 18-year-ancient living two totally dwhetherferent lives”, she recalls.

“A indolent lwhethere as a student and a professional job as a model.

“Leading this demanding lwhethere was not easy and I was always aspiring to be the best in all areas.

The prescertain and fixed seeking of external approval did not bring me happiness.

“Instead, it brought me an eating disorder.”

Now 10 years on, Madrid native Silvia has never felt better after successfully turning her health and happiness around.

Now based in Dublin, she finally found her calling absent from the runway as a fitness instructor and nutrition advisor.

But the 28-year-ancient admitted her relationship with food hasn’t always been so harmonious.

“I was in a very serious situation, but thanks to my family, close friends and then-boyfriend, I started a  recovery process,” tells Silvia, who moved to Ireland five years ago.

“At the end of a three-year fight against this horrible illness, I learned that the need to obsessively control food was a way of escaping genuine problems – and this can happen to anyone, based on their genes and cultural environment.

“In my case, it was the ruthless fashion world, where the image other people have of your body was the degreement for success. This experience changed me and crazye me genuineise how important it is to develop a healthy relationship with foods.

“After fully recovering, I was a dwhetherferent person – stronger and more mature than I would have ever imagined.”

Embancientened by her own experience, fitness blogger Silvia has just set up her own fitness and nutrition coaching service called Fit With Sylvia.

Her first sancient-out-event, How to Eat For Lwhethere, held at Third Space in Smithfield, Dublin, recently showed she’s far from alone.

“After the event, lots of girls came up to talk to me, “says the former Google worker.

“I was surprised because fairly a lot (of them) has an eating disorder as well.

“Numerous girls feel they can identwhethery with me and that’s why they follow my advice.

“I don’t give them a nutrition plan – what I teach is how to eat for lwhethere. They don’t quit anyleang or calculate calories – they just degree portions using their hand.”

After battling with her body for years, Zumba Instructor Silvia explains how she doesn’t believe in diets – instead of taking an ‘everyleang in moderation’ approach to eating.

Her top tips for staying in shape, for example, including stashing healthy snacks such as a fruit in your handbag to curb cravings during the day and sticking to three alcoholic drinks per week.

“If you cut out chocolate altogether, you’ll only end up craving it even more,” says Silvia, whose blog also contains tips on everyleang from quitting sugar to getting more sleep. “So it’s OK once in a while to have some chocolate, pastries or even red wine.

BETROOT, the vegetable that satisfies the sweet tooth

“I use them to give COLOR and NUTRIENTS to my meals and keep MY SWEET TOOTH SATISFIED throughout the day”

I could mention the infinite benefits of eating the sweetest vegetable in the planet, like it helps to keep blood prescertain in check, it fights against inflammation, it may improve digestive health, it may have some anti-cancer properties, etc.

But how can betroot genuinely help you to improve your athletic performance, help you to loose weight or how to include it in your diet as a healthy lwhetherestyle?

Well one of the reasons I want to speak about this beautwhetherul and powerful vegetable is not just because of the impressive health benefits but because I stop counted how many times the betroot by itself stopped my sugar cravings.

As you know guys, I quit sugar one year ago – refined sugar, as natural sugar is needed 🙂 so once you quit, you feel that lack of processed products you used to eat but in order to have your calories intake on the top, some other genuine food is needed.

I found betroot be such an atractive vegetable, the shine pink colour and its soft texture crazye me feel eating it fairly often in most of my meals. I started to include betroot in salads, then as a side at lunch time and did not make me feel bloated or tired after eating it, because they are low in calories and a great source of nutrients, including fiber, folate and vitamin C (not just the oranges have this vitamin 😛 ) Beets as I cutely call them, also contain nitrates and pigments that help lower blood prescertain and improve athletic performances. They are delicious and versatile, fitting well into a healthy and balanced diet.

I used to eat beets as a substitute of refined sugar but nowadays I use them to give colour and nutrients to my meals and keep my sweet tooth convinced throughout the day, because it is not easy to quit sugar! so beets were for me like for most of people the electronic cigarettes until they finally quit smoking and they can handle the addition to smoking (me to sugar).

Now, I use betroot to do sweet recipes with natural food, like icecreams, cakes and I eat them at any time, during breakfast, lunch dinner and even as a snack!

I leave you here two recipes using beetroot as the main ingredient.

Even though it may appear as whether I jump out of bed every morning alert to run 10 miles, that is definitely not the case. As much as I love working out first leang in the morning, your girl needs some additional energy sometimes!

I have tried a ton of dwhetherferent pre workouts, and I leank I FINALLY found the magic recipe. Did you know that most pre-workouts on the market are full of fillers, preservatives, and added sugar? Things that are advertised as “healthy” but there is definitely noleang favourable about them. A lot of pre-workouts also have a ridiculous amount of caffeine in them that can raise your cortisol levels, leaving you feeling anxious and spastic long after your workout is done. Not to mention all the damage that is doing to your hormones and digestion!

So what’s the solution? Magic mushrooms of course! Not those kinds. Possess you heard of the mushrooms like Reishi, Cordyceps, and Lions Mane? They are trending dwhetherficult right now, and for good reason.

Today I want to focus on Cordyceps! Cordyceps have been shown to support energy and increase stamina and athletic performance. They are also loaded with antioxidants.

I started drinking Four Sigmatic’s Cordyceps coffee before working out and it is a game changer. It contains about half the caffeine of a standard cup of coffee, but thanks to Cordyceps and Chaga mushroom, you get sustained stimulation without the crash.

You can absolutely just mix it with hot water, but I like to make a smoothie of sorts with some added goodies and drink 30 or so minutes before my workout!

The Recipe:

  • 1 -1.5 C Almond milk (or other non dairy milk of choice)
  • Dash of cinnamon (metabolism booster)
  • 1/2 -1 banana (fuel during your workout, specificly good for runners)
  • 1 Tbsp nut butter of choice (I love Nutzo because it also has chia seeds in it, which break down slowly giving you sustained energy!)
  • 1 tsp maca powder (adaptogen that supports energy and stamina levels)
  • 1 packet of Four Sigmatic Cordyceps Coffee
  • *I also like to occasionally add Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides depending on how long of a workout I’m doing.

Blend all together, and try not to chug because it’s so delicious!

Please note that you should ALWAYS listen to your body when it comes to trying dwhetherferent supplements and adaptogens. What works for me, may not be best for you! At the end of the day, do what makes YOU feel good.

Ways to Increase Your Masculinity – engi.pw

‘Man Up’ has seen it’s day
Masculinity may mean dwhetherferent leangs to dwhetherferent people and it can be confusing in nowadays’s lwhethere as to what and how masculine Men should be !

You may see a lot of posts, about being the ‘Alpha Male’ ‘ How to Man Up’ ‘ How to be in touch with your more feminine side’ and all the others in between.

At engi.pw we aim to help you become more masculine- but what do we see that as ?
Clue – It isn’t the large guy in the pub mouleang off, or who’s solution to most leangs is – take you external

We base a lot of what we do around these simple additions to your lwhethere, which should help and its someleang we at GMC show you how to do better.

1. EXERCISE

– Men should exercise, do manual work, lwhethert stuff, move leangs, be in good physical shape, men aren’t meant to have boobs and beer stomachs.
If you don’t have a manual job, this is even more important that your exercise regime involves someleang that needs aggression (controlled aggression) I’m not talking about getting into fights all the time or being a dick. Controlled aggression – workouts that you have to dig a bit deeper to get through

Examples would be some kind of combat sport – boxing, BJJ, MMA – none of which we do at GMC cause we’re not those type of coaches and a lot of men aren’t interested in hitting someone (or being hit).

So how do we get that aggression out ? By mixing lwhetherting and moving heavy weights, Strongman style exercises and tall intensity sessions. Forcing you to dig deeper find that inner drive to help you finish, help you progress.
Training like this also has the side effect of burning body fat, getting you in a lean, chiselled, muscular body shape.

This only works whether you eat like a Man too. Tracking your food, specificly getting enough protein and working wilean a calorie target, probably taller than you leank (carbs and fats will also be tracked)

An increase in confidence, again not in an arsey way, not one of these guys that’s all mouth and noleang to back it up, You’ll become a Man confident in his abilities, confident enough that you don’t need to shout about it.

2. COMPETITON

Men need a bit of competition, doesn’t matter whether you win all the time or not, good competition should make you better. Competing with men who are an equal to, better than or even a wee bit behind can be enough to make you bring your best.

Attempt to keep up or catch the guy ahead of you, stay with the guy next to you or don’t let the guy behind you catch up.

By working wilean a team, you will always have that element of competition. We create sessions so you are working in pairs, threes or all together.

3. LEADERSHIP

Firstly by being your own leader – taking charge of your lwhethere. Becoming the Man you want the world to see you as.
Whether that’s your partner, your kids, your mates, your work colleagues.

You know what kind of man you want to be, most cases the person hancienting you back the most is YOU !

You can be a leader and also a follower, who do you most admire or seek a similar lwhethere to – physique wise, their achievements, relationship goals, commerce – whatever. Discover out how they got there, learn from the ones who have ether done it or can show you how to do it (Usain Bolt’s coach can’t sprint 100m in under 10 moments, but he showed him how to)

4. MEDITATION

What !?1?!?

I hear you shout at the screen. I’m not doing some hippy meditating shit.
12 – 15 minutes a day, is all we’re asking. With our techniques it becomes easy
The benefits – More focus, which leads to better preparation, greater results, more productivity.

Time out from the fixed noise and overwhelm the day brings. Simple but a tallly effective change to add to your daily routine.
